Casino Royale

The newest Bond movie... the newest Bond.

Pulled off well. I rather enjoyed the movie.

Action was intense, the Bond girls... hot.

I especially liked the beginning... these movies are known for their
intros, but this one was the best in my opinion.

I am curious where they will take the next movie... I am happy to them
refresh the story by "starting over" .

If you have seen Casino Royale and you liked the big chase seen in the
beginning, then go to google video and search for 'Free Running'. It is
friggin cool!

Ford is in major Financial trouble! Spooky!

Some of the biggest companies in our economy are in financial trouble. Read below from the BBC news site. This is scary.

Ford admits need to borrow $18bn

Ford's US sales have been flagging
Struggling US carmaker Ford has seen its shares fall 4% after it unveiled plans to borrow $18bn (£9.3bn).

The company said it needed the extra cash to help pay for its ongoing efforts to restructure its North American operations.

Analysts said the move highlighted Ford's worsening financial condition and the carmaker's already weak credit rating was cut even further.

Ford recently announced a 30-fold rise in quarterly losses to $5.8bn (£3bn).

Collateral

The second-largest US carmaker, Ford is struggling against falling sales in its home market, a situation also affecting its main domestic rivals General Motors and Chrysler.

Ford admitted it was using its US plants as collateral for the latest loans.

It also said the extra money would help it address "near- and medium-term negative operating-related cash flow".

Ford said it hoped to have the financing secured before 31 December.

I love you Strongbad. Oh how I love you.

TROGDOR!
TROGDOR!
Trogdor was a man
I mean, he was a dragon man
Er, maybe he was just a dragon
But he was still TROGDOR!
TROGDOR!

Burninating the countryside
Burninating the peasants
Burninating all the peoples
In their thatched-roof COTTAGES!
THATCHED-ROOF COTTAGES!

{guitar solo starts up}

{spoken}
Whoa! Listen to those wicked dueling guitar solos! It's like squeedly
vs. meedly over here. Go squeedly! Go squeedly! SQUEEDLY WINS!

When all the land is in ruin
And burnination has forsaken the countryside
Only one guy will remain
My money's on

{singing}
TROGDOR!
TROGDOR!

{spoken}
And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIIIGHT!

Neverwinter Nights 2

First impressions....

Diablo meets Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic meets World of Warcraft. I say that in all honesty as the items I find remind me of the stuff I found in WoW and the character interaction reminds me of KotOR... then overall gameplay and visuals remind me, fondly might I add, of Diablo.

The story starts off a bit slow, with a Harvest Fair in your hometown.
This is a bit of a tutorial so to speak.

When you play I recommend using the "click on the ground where you want to go" as oppose to using the WASD keyset... it just gets too squirrely... hell I could barely get through a door frame with WASD.
Graphically... there are a lot of texture enhancing options, most of which I haven't messed with.

Character creation is kinda nice, not the most intricate I've seen but nice enough.

Overall I feel as though there wil be many hours tied up in this game, however it may not be all in one sitting... as I may get distracted by another game/game type for a bit.

It may be too early in the game to tell but so far... I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

So far I was wrong

Appendicitis... No. Hernia ... No.. Well kinda the problem is
Hernia-ish.

The Urgent care visit was a typical doctor's visit... poke you for about
10 seconds and give you a drug to take. Not to mention... after getting
my insurance information, Entering me into the database, getting my
contact information... my wifels contact information.. Even where I
work... all this after changing stations b/c their system was down...
being offered a pretzel bite and having to sign the same form
twice.......

Then an only then was I asked.... "What's wrong?"

Our healthcare system is dumb. That should have been the first
question.

Everyone was nice... don't get me wrong... they were all very nice.

Let's see if the benign fatty tumor the found is actually nothing......

Is there supposed to be a bump there?

The abdominal issues are looking more and more like a hernia. After
speaking with people who have had one and more symptoms revealing
themselves.

I am going to the doctor at 9:45 Monday... to confirm the bad news.
Never had surgery before, but I guess I am going to have to.

Today has been a bear! Hernia... migraine(which I lose vision in my
right eye at the beginning stage) and almost vomiting. Did I mention I
am training on a crappy system at work. Ugh.

Here is hoping tomorrow is better.

My appendix!

I think I am getting the opening symptoms of appendicitis. This is NOT
good.

I will be keeping an eye on it over the next day or so... wish me
luck... as this could reallllllly end up sucking.

Right now the pain is dull. More of a feeling of a weight being there...
not too much of a push back pain. So I may be in the clear... I do not
exhibit any other signs of appendicitis.

I am a little dizzy...

On a side note- the previous post... I am at 196lbs just from altering
my diet. A good breakfast makes a big impact on you day and health.

Today I approach my future.

I stand to deliver... not to accept!
My future belongs to me.
I will shape it. It will not shape me.

200lbs.

I will be here in 50 years. Will not die of a heart attack. I will take
care of my body. I will not die of heart disease. I will live on. I will
not die from obesity. I will see my grandchildren. I will not die by my
own hand.

I am making a promise to myself. I have let things go too far. I am by
no means an obese man. I am however not healthy.

As a friend pointed out... it appears that "I have pulled the ripcord"
--- I have not given up- I will be here in 50 years.

Beer at Growler's

Sanchez discovered this new gem of Belgium on this last trip.

Growler's

Growler's is an expensive place to drink, but for good reason. You can
get beer unavailable elsewhere in St. Louis.

If you are looking for a bar to go to with the mind set of getting
drunk... quickly at least... find another bar. Cheap beer is good for
that.

If you are looking to satisfy your tastebuds and your craving for good
beer... Growler's is the place.

I recommend going from time to time. Bring a little extra money though.
