Velvet Assassin... I am only halfway through the first mission and already I feel like I am play Thief set in WWII. I started thinking that this was going to be Splinter Cell + Thief... but it is more Thief than Splinter Cell. It has elements that remind me of the Hitman series as well.

Overall the initial impressions of mine are good. The visuals are great. I am happy with the purchase.

I purchased this through Steam on the day it was released. I have noticed that the typical Shift+Tab to enter the Steam overlay does not work. The game does stand up to Alt Tabbing back to the desktop though, so I can't complain too much.
